Proletariat Now Open in Jane's Sweet Buns

The East Village loves a "secret" bar. From PDT in Crif Dogs to Cienfuegos above Carteles, these speakeasy inspired bars are not-so-secret any longer. Opening last weekend, Proletariat arrived on the scene inside Jane's Sweet Buns, a booze soaked pastry shop.
Order yourself a few mini sweet buns to share with your best girlfriends or one large alcohol themed bun, such as Rum Raisin or Whiskey Sour, to pick apart with your sweetheart before heading to Proletariat's intimate 10 seat bar, dimly lit behind the sweet shop.
With a rotating list of interesting, and even wacky beers, your knowledgable bartender will walk you through each offering to find the perfect pour for your tastes. You'll find 12 beers on tap, 30 in bottles and even a couple of beer cocktails on draft, which will all rotate regularly.
Smartphone owners (are there really any non-smartphone users anymore?) will go green, as there is a QR code to read the ever-changing menu.
Your new one-stop-shop for the perfect tipsy date or girls' night out in the East Village is now Proletariat and Jane's Sweet Buns. Head to St. Marks asap to enjoy this new "secret" before everyone in Murray Hill finds out. xo

Proletariat. 102 St. Marks Place.
