A Review: Agave

Looking for a Southwestern menu with a spin?   Agave is the perfect spot for comfort food with a kick.  Round up your best girlfriends and head there for happy hour, where you can get half-priced frozen margaritas, draft beers and house wine from 4-7pm.  Stay for dinner, and order meals to share.  The portions are huge, and most of the meals are too heavy to finish on your own.  Order the guacamole to share with the table.  This dip comes with sour cream and a fresh chopped tomato salsa.  When ordering entrees, don’t miss out on the short ribs, which are fall-off-the-bone tender.  The Santa Fe Shephard’s Pie is also a must-order as it is a huge portion of creamy mac and cheese, covering chili.  During the summer months, sit outside at one of the sidewalk tables, for perfect West Village people watching.  There is a private dining room available when throwing a party for 30 guests, such as an engagement or birthday party.

What is your favorite spot for Southwestern cuisine? xo

  1. I usually hit up 5 BURRO CAFE for some tex mex. I highly reccomend. They make margaritas that will knock you your butt. and steak fajitas that are buttery and flavorful.
They have a location in Brooklyn that is still working on a crowd of regulars.
I hear bad tings about delivery service but i enjoy their food tremendously. The wait staff is fun to talk to as well!
