A Review: Heathers

When it comes to dive bars, the East Village has got you covered.  When you’re looking for a no-frills intimate spot, venture to Heathers.  This small bar is the perfect place to catch up with old friends over tiny cans of Sofia Coppola wine.  The bar was formerly a member’s only club and dates back to the 30’s.  Unmarked frosted glass windows are the only sign that you’re at the right place.   The walls are lined in Subway tile and the bar stools and chairs are from a 70’s grade school.  Feel free to write on the chalkboard walls in the bathroom about your new crush or latest story of debauchery.  Heathers. 506 E. 13th St.

Where is your favorite dive bar? xo

  2. I love this type of bar! It reminds me of where I grew up in a MA city ~ there was a tiny bar just 1 block from my home! Such awesome memories, so thanks for that!!
